2 Encounters in March of Shibolot Interfaith Encounter:

First encounter: Visit of Abu-Ghosh Women

On Monday, March 19th, the Shibolot group hosted a group of some 100 women from Abu-Ghosh.

The women arrived at 10am to the community center. After refreshments they were divided at 10:30am into 5 discussion-groups on the theme of the influence of women on the issues of peace and bringing the hearts closer together between the different communities of the Middle East.

At noon all the groups gathered together in the hall and each group selected a representative that presented highlights from the group's discussion.


Second Encounter: Mother and Family Day

On Friday March 23rd, after a month's planning, the group produced the Mother and Family Day at the community center.

The day included:

12:00-12:30: reception and registration

12:30-14:00: Panel on the issue of "Young-age Marriage", with the participation of: Sr. Rabha of the Christian community, Ms. Mariam Shini of the Muslim community and Ms. Ghalia Ibrahim of the Druze community. The panel was moderated by Husniya Abu Nimer, a member of the Shibolot group.

14:00-15:00: fashion show
