3 Encounters of Sawa Rabina Interfaith Encounter Group in M'ghar - May/June/July 2007:

May 16th, 2007

Theme: International Children's Day

On May 16th the Sawa Rabina Interfaith Encounter group met at the M'ghar Community Center in order to plan a fund day for the children of M'ghar for the International Children's Day.

After discussing and examining variety of ideas for the content of the day, it was decided and agreed by all to realize the following:

Inflatable games;
Theatre play for children by a local group (Mwafaq Ali);
Giving presents to the children in the end of the day.


June 1st, 2007

The Sawa Rabina Interfaith Encounter group produced the Children's Day event at the M'ghar Community Center and realized the fun day as planned – including the inflatable games, the theatre play and the presents.

The goals of the day were:

Making every child of the town happy;
Bringing children from all communities together and having them experience the event together;
Creating dialogue and encounter between the parents of the children at the event.


July 10th, 2007

Members of the group took part in a regional gathering that included M'ghar, Karmiel and Haifa, at the Palm Beach in Acre.

The group played a significant role in the meeting and shared its joint solutions for people who are in need in time of emergency.

People of all three communities of M'ghar participated in this meeting. In the end of the day they expresses their joy for being part of it and the hope that if, God forbid, there will be again a time of need – the group will be able to function and supply solutions.
