Two Encounters of the Lana Interfaith Encounter Group in October-November 2007:

After the summer vacation and all the Holidays, the Lana Interfaith Encounter group resumed its encounters at the M'ghar Community Center and started to plan its activity for the year 2007/8.

The group decided to organize groups of women in the Christian, Druze and Muslim neighborhoods, to gather as many women as possible in the Holy Places – with consent of those responsible for the places – and to organize, together with Clalit Health Services, lectures and workshops on first aid, dialogue and education for life of coexistence – with a psychologist and a social worker.

November 2nd, 2007

The group met on Friday at 4pm and agreed to organize, together with the Sawa Rabina Interfaith Encounter group, cloths bazaar etc. before the Holiday of Eid el-Adha, in order to enable poor people to come to the Community Center a week and a half before the Eid and get what they need. We are looking for other organizations who can offer help. For the eve of the Eid we organized a huge community performance for parents and children.
