Interfaith Encounters - General Study Sessions

Launch and Second Encounter of Bridging Interfaith Encounter - IEA's 20th Group Bridging Interfaith Encounter:

For a while the M'ghar Community Center operates a program of Communal Bridging in three neighborhoods in M'ghar:

In the Muslim neighborhood: 15 participants;
In the Christian neighborhood: 15 participants;
In the Druze neighborhood: 15 participants.

After the groups went through a process of 5 meetings separately, with professional facilitators, on Saturday March 14th 2007 the joint group was launched with all participants.

At the first stage, the group will start meeting every two weeks for 10 encounters. The planning is to elect a committee, representing all three communities, which will lead the group and plan its joint activities.

Every group started working in its neighborhood and selected its coordinator. It is important to note that the Sheikhs represent the Druze community, the Imams of the mosques – the Muslim community and the Christian community is also represented by the community's honorable leaders from the Christian neighborhood.

On Saturday March 28th the three groups met again for joint training and to select their joint committee.
